Fallston Middle School Concert - May 11

Sandy reports, "at Fallston Middle School they are dedicating one of the songs in the 7th grade concert to your mom. It has a small oboe solo. The instructor, Mr. Hinckley, asked [my daughter] Emily to write something about Judi to read at the concert. She is very honored. [The concert is ] May 11th at 7:00PM in the Fallston Middle School Gym."

Here is Emily's dedication.

This next song, Joyance, is dedicated to the memory of Mrs. Judi Famous. Mrs. Famous brought joy to everyone who knew her. It seemed impossible that she could get so many things done, but she always had time for her students. Mrs. Famous' name seemed to rub off on her: almost everyone knew her well. Her inspiration was amazing; everyone in the schools where she taught wanted to play a string instrument just to have her as a teacher. She never underestimated anyone's abilities. She brought out the best in all of us. When we were with Mrs. Famous we weren't just kids learning to play instruments, we were musicians. Mrs. Famous will remain in our hearts forever, and will be missed by many.
