Any such family gathering that results in the passing of gifts between parties - whether such gifts are wanted, expected, appreciated or not - must result in such gifts leaving the premises of the gathering if the receiver of such gift does not reside at the premises of the gathering. While the receiving party may 'forget' the gift by accident, it is forbidden to 'forget' the gift on purpose.
Failure to evacuate such gifts may result in a ban on the ability of parties to exchange gifts at such premises. Repeated failures may result in new rules that state that all gifts must be presented to the receiving party at the receiving party's place of residence or in absense of all other parties.
Your cooperation in this matter is much appreciated.
